Remember my interview with Michael Wilkinson & Alicia Wilkinson-Mehr, owners of DC-based Pete’s New Have Style Apizza? No? Then I’m just heartbroken!
Through my uncontrollable tears I can manage to type a short note to update on Pete’s, a delicious pizza restaurant that started life in the city’s Columbia Heights neighborhood.
According to the company’s website, since the interview in May 2009 they’ve opened locations in the DC neighborhood of Friendship Heights and the nearby Virginia neighborhood of Clarendon. Plus their Facebook page has all manner of other interesting things to discover, including the launch of three new specialty pizzas.
Michael and Alicia were kind enough to let me make my own pizza for the interview, and I continue to be a fan of their food. If you live in DC or are ever visiting, Pete’s should be near the top of the list for must-visit pizza places.
