Just returned from a glorious long three-day weekend in New Orleans, where I was able to revisit some old favorite restaurants, try some new ones, and even managed to fit in some activities that didn’t require food and drink.
My friends and I made the most of the culinary and liquid entertainment that the Crescent City has to offer, and during the next week or so I’ll be updating this site with brief reviews of the various restaurants that we tried.
Alas, I didn’t do any interviews down there, unlike my last visit when I met with food critic Tom Fitzmorris and local t-shirt company owners Josh and Natalie Harvey.
But I did get to experience several great music performances, as you’d expect from the Big Easy. Even got to attend and dance at my first fais do-do — a Cajun dance party — on Frenchman Street. For the dignity of all involved, I’ll refrain from uploading a picture of that.
