Throwback Thursday 13 (unlucky for some) was the second interview during my August 2009 trip down to New Orleans. I had a fun lunch at the fantastic restaurant Bayona with Buzzy “Beano” Langford, a member of the long-running and popular New Orleans-based cover band The Topcats. He talked about what first got him into music, and what it’s like to make a living playing other bands’ songs.
I got back in touch with Buzzy several years later in 2015 for a reunion dinner with him and a couple of other Crescent City residents featured on the site. Check out the 80th dinner to find out what Buzzy got up to in the intervening years.
