Alex was the 112th stranger featured on this site; we met in his hometown of New York last October for a lengthy breakfast chat about how he first got interested in standup comedy and the ups and downs of trying to make it in the very competitive industry. A few months later I finally got to see him perform when he was visiting the District and did a set at The Big Hunt. Then he came back another time and I saw that set. I can vouch that he doesn’t recycle material, and his jokes got some of the biggest laughs both nights.
He’ll be back at The Big Hunt for their Underground Comedy series (the stage is in the basement of the bar) on Saturday July 20 with performances at 8pm and 9.45pm. It often sells out, so I recommend buying tickets in advance.
