Celebrate Dino’s Grotto At Two Closing Parties

There are just two weeks left to enjoy the great food and drink at Dino’s Grotto, the DC restaurant whose owner Dean Gold I profiled for Dining With Strangers in May 2018. Dean — whose life before becoming a restaurateur included selling wine, studying economics, selling dope to jazz musicians, and more — in July announced he’s closing his venue.

The festivities in the final few days include two closing parties next week (Monday September 16 and Tuesday September 17) where the kitchen will be cooking off whatever is left in the pantry, and the bar will be serving all it has left of wine and spirits. You need to buy tickets in advance, and the price includes all you can eat, and all the wine will be half priced. Tickets for Monday are $35 when Dean says the food selection will be better, and $25 for Tuesday.

It’s your last chance to visit the place before it permanently closes, so get your ticket while you can. As Dean says on his restaurant’s website: “This will definitely be the last hurrah!”
