Interview 127: Lunch With Revolution Games Co-Founder Charles Cecil

The first dinner interview with a stranger this year is with Charles Cecil, the co-founder of British software company Revolution Games. They specialize in adventure games, including the globally popular Broken Sword series and Beneath a Steel Sky, among other titles.

I met Charles earlier this month in York, England, where he lives and where Revolution has its main office. For more than two hours at tapas restaurant Ambiente we talked about how he first got into the computer games industry and its many ups and downs over several decades.

We covered a lot of ground and that’s because Charles is a great conversationalist with a fascinating story to tell.
