For today, Throwback Thursday 49 is my August 2013 dinner with New Orleans food critic Tom Fitzmorris at the upscale restaurant Tommy’s Cuisine in the Central Business District. Tom, born and raised in the city, hosts a daily food show on a local radio station, and has seen how the restaurant scene in the Crescent City has evolved over the last few decades. We talked about dining in the city, and his book “Hungry Town” that chronicles some of the changes.
We didn’t stay in touch after the interview, but I still occasionally listen to his radio show online and follow his website The New Orleans Menu where he posts a daily diary and the occasional restaurant review.
