Back In The New York Groove

Back from a brief weekend visit to New York City and two new dinners with strangers. All right, I’m not being entirely truthful because one of them was a brunch. More on the interviews in a later update.

While in Manhattan I also got to meet up again with a certain stranger who was featured on this site back in December. Stay tuned for some new video from this very special person.

Oh, and I tried out the Five Points Restaurant which has quite the dizzying array of breads for you to munch on while waiting for your food, including the rather tasty flat bread I’m eating in the picture above. Five Points is a rather splendid place and the food and drinks are equally of high quality. My friend and I ate a pizzette with truffle oil (a little too rich for me) and a couple of appetizer-size pasta dishes. Overall I’d recommend the place and our waiter Cecil was attentive and friendly, a nice contrast to the rather rude service I got in Brooklyn that night at a different place.

Meanwhile, despite my constant lies about the fact the sixth dinner with a stranger will soon be written up, I can say it’ll probably be online by the weekend.
