A Streetcar Named Delay

So about that long-delayed New Orleans article…yeah, it’s coming. Finally got my laptop back from its repairs so expect the latest write-up this weekend.

While I’m on the topic of New Orleans, I have to recommend Mother’s Restaurant, a fantastic place just outside of the French Quarter. They serve basic fare like sandwiches and salads, but they do it really well.

Perhaps the greatest thing on their menu is a sandwich ingredient they call debris, which is the roast beef that falls into the gravy while baking in the oven, according to their website. The picture above is from August, and is me stuffing my fat face with a Famous Ferdi Special — a sandwich (or po’boy) of baked ham, roast beef, debris and gravy. Delicious.
