Since moving across the Atlantic, I’ve been delighted by the number of public holidays Americans get to enjoy. So it was that yesterday I had Monday to myself thanks to the Labor Day holiday. I should have been productive with my time off and cleaned the house, maybe gone for a run, done something creative…but no.
