Jazz is one of the things New Orleans is best known for.
But when I visited the city in August 2009, I found myself at lunch not with a jazz musician. Instead, I broke bread with rock and roll musician Buzzy “Beano” Langford, a member of New Orleans-based cover band The Topcats. Being party of a cover band Buzzy plays all types of music, but it’s rock and roll that was — and remains — his first love.
