The 30th Throwback Thursday feature is to April 2011, and another trip to New Orleans. Over the years there have been so many Dining With Strangers interviews in the Big Easy because (1) I’m there often, (B) people there appear to be very open to the website’s concept, (iii) I want to make sure at least part of the trip is productive and not concentrated solely on a few blocks of the French Quarter.
This meal was a pleasant lunch at the decent Luke Restaurant in the Central Business District. I was there to meet Anne Rolfes, founding director of the Louisiana Bucket Brigade. She told me about the environmentalist group’s mission, which is “to end oil and chemical pollution in Louisiana.”
