This is my meal at sea with entertainer and singer/songwriter Matt Yee, who is a mainstay of gay and straight cruise ships performing his cabaret act to packed audiences. In late January we were on the same cruise, and so one night when he had a rare evening without a show he agreed to meet me to tell me about life on the ocean.
As I learned during the meal, there’s far more to his story than playing on cruise ships. He’s also in high demand throughout the United States for everything from gay pride events to business conventions, and he’s also got a great tale to tell about how he ditched his career in law to pursue his dreams of entertaining people.
