The other week, Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema invited me to tag along for a review of Gordon Ramsay’s new fish and chip shop (creatively titled Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips) at The Wharf in D.C.
The review was a chance to share my thoughts on the best way to make fish and chips, based on a childhood growing up near the North Sea and eating them far too often. Kind of a reverse dinner with a stranger, and a lovely way to spend a few hours. As always, Tom’s take is a great read and hits all the right points.
My dinner interviews are still on hold, but if you’re interested in meeting me for a meal should they resume in the future, please get in touch — I have a list of people across the United States that I still hope to chat with someday.
