Until the day when I resume dinner interviews with people across the United States and even overseas, I’ll provide some updates on news of interest about some of the 131 people I’ve already met. Today’s post is about actor Fred Melamed, the 76th interviewee on Dining With Strangers and easily recognized from key roles in A Serious Man, Curb Your Enthusiasm, WandaVision and countless other examples.
Fred stars in several movies and television shows either recently released or upcoming, here’s a quick sample:
- Cat Person: This is playing at the ongoing Sundance Film Festival. Here’s the plot from IMDB: “The brief relationship between a twenty-year-old sophomore college student Margot, and an older man Robert, who is a regular at the movie theater where Margot works.”
- Fuzzy Head: Also making the festival rounds is this movie, where Fred plays “The Quadruped” and the plot is: “A woman searches through her childhood memories and trauma to unlock the truth about her mother’s death.”
- Reboot: Fred’s also in this TV show, which “[f]ollows an early 2000s family sitcom that Hulu has rebooted and their dysfunctional cast that must deal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world.”
