Azusa Sheshe Dance – the singer and actress featured as the 142nd dinner interview – is celebrating a decade of New York artistry this year, and could use our help getting to the Summer Cabaret Conference later this month to mark it.
Since moving to the city from Memphis, Tennessee, in 2016 she’s performed as a featured subway artist with the MTA’s Music Under New York program, appeared on Good Morning America, won at the Apollo, and landed a commercial still airing regionally. She has a GoFundMe running to help offset travel costs and missed wages while she prepares, and is 50% of the way to her goal. If you enjoyed reading about her or have ever been wowed by her subway singing, this is a great way to support what she does.
You can also watch SheShe and other Memphis natives trying each other’s BBQ chicken, in a new YouTube video.
Well worth the watch and it gives you a great idea of her fantastic personality.
