Throwback Thursday 104: Uncorking André Hueston Mack

André Hueston Mack left a successful career in the banking sector to indulge his true passion of wine, becoming a sommelier at some of the United States’ top restaurants. He gained major attention as the first African-American to win the Best Young Sommelier in America in 2003.

A few years later, he launched his own company and is now planning to open his first wine bar. For the 104th dinner with a stranger in April 2018, we met in New York where he told me about these successes and much more.
