Michael Wilkinson’s Closing Party

Former dining stranger Michael Wilkinson is not only one of the founders of Pete’s New Haven Style Apizza chain in Washington, DC, but also an avid photographer who is inviting people to the closing of his latest show.

His work has been on display at Mara Home at 2213 14th Street NW, and the closing party will take place on Thursday September 10 from 6.30-8.30pm. Michael lives in the District, and his photos focus on architecture and interiors.

As Michael explains on his website, “This closing party is special, though, because store owner Erin Mara has decided to close the 14th Street location and move her home furnishings, accessories and ‘vintage finds’ business up to Silver Spring.”

That means that “everything in the store will be on sale, including my photographs, a series of classic urban vignettes taken all around Washington DC and printed on ultra-high gloss aluminum panels in 30×30 and 8×8 format. You kinda sorta really shouldn’t miss it. There’s going to be some amazing deals throughout the store,” says Michael.
